imh..imh..imh.. am very excited about it. More excited to see what kind of patients they have. My first day here, nothing special, had my orientation in the AM. DAMN boring.. was a lecture about the overview of IMH. common mental disorder.. yada yada.. well i must say tht it has come a loooong way, dated, 1841! was previously known as The Insane Hospital. WOW. i-n-s-a-n-e. what a word.
honestly... from outside it doesnt look like a hospital.. it looks like a CHALET! i call it.Hougang chalet. would be complete if there is a few bbq pits :)
psychiatric nursing is very interesting.. it's unlike normal nursing ina general hospital. the patients here loook absolutely normal. :) i first came in here with some preconceived judgement about some disorder.. perhaps. within this 2 weeks. my judgement about some patients and illness would change...
